“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt
Welcome to Eat Work Travel! Do you work full-time? Do you take all your vacation time each year? Did you know the average number of vacation days used by Americans has been declining since the late 90’s?
We are Amanda & Brian, thanks for stopping by! Our corporate jobs consume most of our days but we are determined to make the most of our time outside the office. We work hard so we can afford the luxuries of eating well and traveling often! We have vowed that regardless of our career status, we will always make time to travel. Rest assured we do not let any of our precious vacation days go to waste and we hope our adventures and tips will help you turn your hard earned dollars into luxury life experiences. Let’s reverse the trend!
Eat Work Travel is always up for trying new adventures as well as tasting different cuisines and libations. If we have not heard of something on a menu, we order it. If we haven’t experience an activity, we book it. If there is a whiskey we haven’t heard of, we try it. While we are fairly conservative in our daily lives, we are risk takers while we are traveling!
Our goal is to show you how to see the world without sacrificing career success!
Eat Work Travel will always provide:
- 4 star+ luxury accommodations – we love experiencing a mix of lodges, B&B, boutique hotels and global chains
- Adventure Activities, particularly those that originated in a particular area or cannot be found anywhere else
- We promise there will be no chain restaurants – we will go out of our way to find the best and unique food in an area, especially if they are Michelin Star rated
- Our honest account of the property or activity – we are paying clients to the places we go. While we may get a media discount, we still pay for the service therefore we commit to providing our honest feedback to you

I can't contain my reaction, OH MY GOD, your blog is so cool! I love it, I love it, I love it!
P.S. 28. Stay in a Castle - I actually recommend http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burg_Harburg it was really nice and can be combined with a lot more awesome places in Germany! Plus, you can get a price of 70 euros per night and they have amazing food and beer.
